“Carl Heinrich Hoyng came to the United States with his wife Maria and his son Clemens on Sep. 16, 1834 aboard the ship “The Everhard” arriving in Baltimore Maryland. They made their home on the land the Gottfrid Anton Hoyng purchased a year before. He became a citizen of the U.S. on Oct.29, 1838.”
